Primary processing facilities, Meat’s and Dairy, operate continuously throughout the day and night producing 100’s of tonnes of product each shift, each day.
The Task
Once processed the products need to be moved from manufacturing sites to storage, customers or further value adding facilities. If product is not transported efficiently away from the end of the production line it will quickly back up and can halt further production.
What We Did
JDRT schedules dedicated fleet and drivers to align with production schedules. Trucks arrive to facilitate live loading as required. JDRT will plan contingency for potential production delays or transit issues and maintain communication with dispatch and receivals to ensure loading docks are kept clear and production continues. Via our technology solutions all trucks are GPS and temperature monitored so our team can share where and what is going on with every load, every minute
The Results
Production is kept running and product is delivered on time, in spec and in temp. Cold Storage Facilities and Customers have their own dock and warehouse time tables to work within. JDRT provide a safe set of hands to transition products along the cold chain to customers with continuous planning, monitoring and communication making the process resilient and smooth.
